Overview

Staying in Dahab or Taba puts you within easy reach of Jerusalem, and this Holy Land day trip makes the most of the short hop to the border. Once across into Israel you drive up to Jerusalem — a city sacred to Christianity, Judaism and Islam alike — where your guide walks you along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, down to the Western Wall, and past the golden Dome of the Rock in the heart of the Old City.

The itinerary continues to Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity, with a chance to visit the Dead Sea and float effortlessly on its salt-heavy surface. Because the crossing from Taba is shorter than from resorts further south, you enjoy more time among the sites and less time on the road. A valid passport is required.
