Perched on the cliffs of Hadaba, Farsha Mountain Lounge — better known as Farsha Cafe — is one of the most atmospheric places in Sharm El Sheikh. Bedouin-style terraces are carved into the rock and filled with antiques, lanterns and cushioned seating, all looking out over the Red Sea. Come for the sunset, stay for the shisha and the view. Here is everything you need to know before you go.
Farsha sits in the Hadaba (Ras Um Sid) area at the southern end of Sharm El Sheikh, right on the cliff edge. It is roughly a 10–15 minute drive from Naama Bay and about 20–25 minutes from most central resorts. The lounge is built into the mountainside, so you walk down a series of well-lit open stairs to reach the different seating levels.
Farsha opens in the late afternoon and runs until around midnight (roughly 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM daily). The magic hour is sunset — aim to arrive 30–45 minutes before the sun goes down so you can watch the sky change over the Red Sea, then enjoy the lanterns and candlelight as the lounge lights up at night.
Farsha is moderately priced for Sharm — you pay for what you order rather than an entrance fee. Bring cash to be safe. It generally works on a walk-in basis, so no reservation is needed for small groups, but parties of 8 or more should message ahead via the lounge’s Instagram or Facebook to check availability.
The most relaxed way to experience Farsha is with a door-to-door private car. Our Al-Farsha Cafe private transfer collects you from your hotel, waits while you enjoy the lounge, and drives you safely back — a fixed price with no haggling. It is ideal for couples and small groups who want a hassle-free evening.
There is normally no entrance fee — you simply pay for the drinks, shisha or food you order. Check for any minimum spend on busy nights.
It is an adults-oriented lounge with a romantic, relaxed vibe, so it is best enjoyed by couples and adults rather than young families.
Small groups can just walk in. Groups of eight or more should contact the lounge ahead via Instagram or Facebook to confirm availability.
Arrive shortly before sunset for the views, then stay into the evening for the full candlelit atmosphere.
